Bananawhale Unveils Live Loops At NAMM!Date: Sun, 14 Jul 2002 13:13:52 -0400 BWP CEO To Unveil "LIVE LOOPS!" At
NAMM Bananawhale Productions is pleased to announce that founder and CEO James Fairs will demonstrate LIVE LOOPS! from Bananawhale at JENSEN Music Industries, located on the Main Floor at Booth #424. "The concept we will be highlighting is simplicity itself, and that has been the essence JENSEN's focus as well. Since the development of wireless staging, artists have been liberated from wiring complexities, and the results have been both visual clarity and an accelerated evolution of staging potentials. JENSEN Music Industries has not only been part of the innovations, but has also empowered even entry-level performers to have access to them." LIVE LOOPS!, which James will be demonstrating, is aimed directly at this entry-level market: "After a 5-minute tutorial, performers will be able to implement this approach for themselves with a portable CD player, 2 volume pedals, and some software. As a result, retailers will be selling volume pedals, guitar pedals, cables, blank CDs, CD players, PA gear, JENSEN Wireless Microphones, pickups, software...and quite a few loop CDs, including our "LOOPS DELUXE ", Fairs says. User complaints with live midi have traditionally run from "excessive set-up complexity" to " sound sterility" to "lack of spontaneous performance potential"...Pre-recorded tracks may solve some of the set-up issues...but often exacerbate the remaining problems. "Whenever and wherever I've utilized this method, the result has been to pique the interest of a whole new group of artists, many of whom had previously shied away from solo or small ensemble shows," says Fairs. "The idea is to open up new markets, and to facilitate new careers." BANANAWHALE will provide interested dealers with a "how-to" guide (with diagrams), a duplicate loop CD of the loops used at the NAMM show, and "A BRIEF LOOPS TUTORIAL"...a paper excerpted from the LOOPS DELUXE "read-me" file. The demonstrations at JENSEN Music Industries Booth #424 are scheduled for: Friday, July 19th, at 4:00 pm, and Saturday, July 20th, at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. All demonstrations are scheduled to last 30 minutes, and James will remain afterwards to take questions, product orders, and to give out information.
